This eight page document makes disappointing reading. Thirty years on and many of the cited problems still exist. Successive Australian Governments have made a complete mess of superannuation benefits for long term members of the Australian Defence Force. Three schemes currently run side by side with the two year old Podger Report discredited and in limbo. Politicians need to be persuaded that 'Separate Conditions are needed for Special People'.

Retired pay should always be an agreed percentage of the current published active pay for the member's rank on retirement.
