Despite the Podger enquiry announced three years ago, nothing has happened.
Howard sat on the report, Rudd released it and responded to its findings with yet another still unreported review.
Both Governments clearly wanted a scheme that ADF members paid for themselves from their meager remuneration.

Well I propose:
1 Retirement pensions be 100% of the maximum active pay plus service
allowance for the actual rank the member holds on retirement after 25
years cumulative service.

2 Retirement pensions be paid after 20 years service reduced by 5% per
annum of the 25 year rate.

3 No member contributions be required for retirement or invalidity
pensions.

4 Retirement pensions be paid tax free after age 55.

These proposals were put to Podger within a detailed submission and were completely ignored.

Any thoughts from forum readers ?

Retired pay should always be an agreed percentage of the current published active pay for the member's rank on retirement SEPARATE CONDITIONS FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE
